Loong Air is a Chinese airline with its headquarters in the Loong Air Office Building on the property of Hangzhou Xiaoshan International Airport in Xiaoshan District, Hangzhou, Zhejiang. Its main hub is in Hangzhou. Approved by the Civil Aviation Administration of China, it started domestic services in 2013. On 25 September 2013, the airline signed a memorandum of understanding with Airbus for the purchase of 20 Airbus A320 twin-engine aircraft.
The company's full name is Zhejiang Loong Airlines Co. Ltd. It was originally a cargo airline named CDI Cargo Airlines which started services in 2012 with one Boeing 737-300F freighter.
Hangzhou Xiaoshan International Airport (IATA: HGH, ICAO: ZSHC) is the principal airport serving Hangzhou, a major city in the Yangtze River Delta region and the capital of Zhejiang Province, China. The airport is located on the southern shore of Qiantang River in Xiaoshan District and is 27 km east of downtown Hangzhou. Architecture firm Aedas designed Hangzhou Xiaoshan International Airport.
The airport has service to destinations throughout China. International destinations are mainly in east and southeast Asia, and points of Africa, Europe and south Asia.
So far, it has direct flights to cities including Kuala Lumpur Macau, Tokyo-Narita, Hakodate, Hong Kong, Osaka-Kansai, Phuket, Shizuoka, Paris-Charles de Gaulle], Jeju, Naha, Osaka-Kansai, Shizuoka, Doha and Bangkok etc.
